Recreation Center Operating Schedule Subcommittee
The Operating Schedule Subcommittee recommended the center close at 9:30pm Monday through Fri-day, all year. Fifty-five and a half (55-align:left;">The Recreation Department budget was presented to the council committee; and no issues are foreseen at this time. The Mayor has asked David not to place monies into the capital fund for trail develop-ment grant matching, as the Mayor would like to see the master plan first, and he is confident the village will have matching funds available should the village decide to pursue the project(s) and grant monies. The Metropolitan Sewer District has joined the discussions with General Electric, Formica Corporation, and Stiney and Michele, regarding the Mill Creek pathway flood control planning.
Part-time clerk staff changes
Pam Hesse will transfer to the Evendale Police Department starting Monday, November 19th. Com-mission thinks Pam will be missed and hard to replace.
Eagle Scout Archery Range Project
Tim Fortner, an Evendale resident, is working on his Eagle Scout Project. He has been in contact with Director Nichols about constructing an archery field near soccer field 4. Tim recently presented a power point proposal to village council requesting permission and funds to construct this Eagle Scout project. As it is a programming opportunity for the Recreation Department, the costs are fairly minimal, and two Evendale residents, Tom Cecil and Michael Bluestein, are certified archery instructors, the department is supportive of Tim’s project.
Snow Much Fun Event
The annual Snow Much Fun event in January will not only have the ice-sculptors back again; but Rozzi’s Fireworks will be here for a small event. A few other ideas are being considered.
Steam Shower Room
The 2013 budget includes monies to convert the indoor spa changing room to a steam type room.
The contracts for Lifestyle Essentials, LLC (fitness center management) and SwimSafe Pool Management, Inc. (aquatics facility management) will renew for calendar year 2013.

Phi Lambda Pi Report:
20-25 members have been attending recently.
Rake-n-Run started yesterday (Wednesday), and continues today and Saturday.
The group also played bingo last night.
A quarterly Pot Luck Dinner was held this month. Halloween fell on a Wednesday this year, so the group ate candy while watching a Halloween movie that night.
The annual Holiday Party and Overnight is on December 1st. Plans include going to Montgomery Inn, playing LazerTag, and a midnight movie.
Phi will have their Alumni Homecoming next week with LaRosa’s Pizza, cheese coneys, and Graeter’s Ice Cream.

Open Discussion:
David expressed the department’s thanks for another good year and great job by the Commission. Georgia Bergan and John Doviak have agreed to return for another two-year term. Stiney Vonderhaar reminded everyone 2013 is his last year on Council, due to term limits; so 2013 will be his last year as council representative to the commission.

Motion to adjourn was made at 8:28am by Stiney Vonderhaar; seconded by Wayne Mosley. Motion approved.
